Planning a wedding can be full-on — and it’s completely natural to want to look and feel your best as you step into the spotlight. But with so many beauty treatments trending (and timelines to consider), knowing what’s worth your time — and when to do it — is essential.
We spoke to Sydney from Rejuvenating and those who’ve done it to give you a calm, informed approach to pre-wedding aesthetics. No pressure, no filler hype — just feel-good treatments that align with your own timeline.
Rejuvenating is a Clinic based out of Surrey and West Sussex
1. When should I start thinking about aesthetic treatments?
If you're considering treatments like Botox, filler, or skin boosters, the safest approach is to plan a year in advance. This allows time for consultations, test treatments, and spacing sessions to achieve a natural, settled result. Some treatments (like Botox) only last 3–4 months, so two rounds may be ideal within that year.
“Never try anything new immediately before the wedding — give it at least 2–3 months to settle in and leave time for any corrections if needed.”
2. What aesthetic treatments do people often combine before their wedding?
Common combinations include skin boosters, Botox, and lip filler. All are aimed at improving skin texture, brightness, and definition — without drastic changes.
“I did all of those — lip filler, skin booster and Botox — in the months leading up to my wedding. Spaced out, it felt manageable and gave a really fresh look.”
3. How far in advance should I have my final treatment?
It depends on what you're having. For injectables like Botox or filler, you want your final session at least 3 months before the big day. This gives time for the product to settle, and any side effects (like swelling or bruising) to completely disappear. That way, you're not rushing or risking a last-minute panic.
4. What should I avoid when planning treatments?
Avoid trends that don’t suit your natural features — like extreme overfilling or viral styles (think Russian lips or fox eyes). Instead, consult with a professional who will focus on enhancing your own face shape and soft features.
“Avoid chasing trends. Work with a pro who helps you feel like the best version of you — not someone else.”
5. Any skin treatments you’d recommend for the glow-up?
Microneedling is a great option — it improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, minimises pores, and leaves skin glowing. A good option for brides who want natural brightness without heavy makeup.
“Microneedling re-texturises the skin and gives you that healthy, confident glow in photos.”
6. Should I still go for it if I’ve never had these treatments before?
If you’re completely new to aesthetics, start with a consultation around 12 months out. That way you can explore options without pressure and try any new treatment well in advance. Never start something new weeks before the big day.
7. What about stress or jaw tension — anything that can help?
Masseter Botox can reduce tension from jaw clenching or teeth grinding — especially common if you’re feeling wedding stress. It’s subtle and also slims the face slightly. For first-timers, try it 6 months before, then again 3 months before the wedding to maintain results.
“It helps with sleep and tension, and makes you feel lighter in your own skin.”
It’s important to feel good within yourself just as much as it is to look good — especially on your big day. And when you do, don’t let the moment pass you by. Step into our luxury photo booth, capture the glow, and take home a beautiful print that everyone can see (and you'll actually want to frame).
